Gartmorn Dam Country Park

Visit this country park near Sauchie for water views, birds and a walk chosen for your time and mobility. The reservoir was built to support local mining, so it adds an industrial thread to a day that starts at Alloa Tower. A short waterside section can be as rewarding as completing the full circuit; stop for refreshments only if the café is open.

Access and getting around: The council identifies accessible sections and says some other areas, including the full circuit, may require assistance. Use its detailed route information to choose a suitable section; do not assume the whole circuit is step-free or uniformly surfaced.
