Maritime Arbroath and a seaside pause →
Keep the museum, harbour and optional West Links together with a proper meal break.
Play, picnic space and a coastal pause / ARBROATH
Make West Links the relaxed outdoor part of a town day, with play time and room for a picnic before deciding whether to go onto the beach. The promenade offers a way to enjoy the coast without committing to a long cliff walk. Keep the plan to the park, seafront and suitable shore conditions rather than assuming every seasonal amusement will be operating.

The council’s West Links toilet block is seasonal and closes in winter. Check facilities before arranging a long off-season family stay.
Practical information checked 15 September 2026. Confirm anything essential to your visit with the venue.
Allow 1–3 hours for the visit, plus travel and breaks. This is a suggested planning allowance; opening times, access and availability may affect your plans.
