Armagh Planetarium

Make a journey through space the centrepiece of a visit to College Hill. The dome programme offers different subjects and age levels, with exhibition time around the booked show. This is the visitor planetarium: a tour of the neighbouring historic Observatory is a separate experience.

Choose the show before choosing the rest of the day. A preschool programme, a science presentation and a special music event offer quite different outings.

Tickets and booking: Ordinary dome tickets include exhibition admission. Exhibition-only entry is separately priced and usually purchased on arrival. Special events and Observatory tours have separate arrangements. Check the current programme and Monday opening exceptions.
Access and getting around: The operator lists ramps, a lift and accessible public areas, plus an upper-level Changing Places facility. Contact reception to reserve a dome wheelchair space. A sensory map and selected Accessible Sundays help plan a suitable visit.

Visiting with children: Check the specific show’s age guidance and book every required ticket. Under-16s need an accompanying adult. The sensory room can be busy and noisy; ask reception about a quieter space when needed.
