No 5 Vicars’ Hill is a separate appointment-only visit. Do not assume its displays are automatically included in a casual library stop.

Tickets and booking: Ordinary admission is free, with voluntary donations welcome. Current opening is weekdays with a lunchtime break. Check the closure calendar: organised group visits, bank holidays and events can close the library to casual visitors. Paid group tours are separate.
Access and getting around: The library provides its own detailed access guide and a separate one for No 5. Check the approach and internal route with staff before travelling if stairs or mobility affect your visit; the two buildings should not be treated as having identical access.
