Porthkerry with a quieter garden finish →
A picnic and chosen park route, with the Knap as an optional separate stop.
Woodland, meadow and a viaduct-framed valley / BARRY
Choose Porthkerry for a green-space day with a different feel from Barry Island. Woods and meadow lead towards a pebble beach, with the railway viaduct forming a striking part of the landscape. A picnic, a selected nature trail and play time can be enough; the longer coastal connections are optional rather than a requirement for enjoying the park.

The former golf-course area is being managed for wildlife. Use current paths and notices rather than expecting an operating golf attraction.
