The Roman Baths
Stand beside the Great Bath, explore the remains of the bathing complex and follow the story of the people who came to the hot springs. Make this your main history visit, with time for the museum as well as the familiar view across the water.
This is an archaeological attraction, not a swimming session. Reserve your entry before planning the rest of the day, and bring a layer for the open-air parts. Leave luggage elsewhere and check the venue’s restrictions before travelling.

- Buy for your intended date and check the ticket type and arrival instructions. Allow time for entry checks; a booking is not a reason to schedule your next stop immediately afterwards.
- Access and getting around
- Lifts reach much of the complex, but some historic surfaces are uneven and a complete route includes steps. Contact the venue ahead if you need the lifts, as wheelchair capacity is limited. Read its sensory guidance if enclosed or darker spaces are a concern.
