Roman history and a park pause →
A focused archaeological visit with town refreshments and a short outdoor break.
A local play and green-space break / BEARSDEN
Use Colquhoun Park for an easy-going outdoor break, with space for a short wander or age-appropriate play. Its wetland features also show how an ordinary town park can manage heavy rainfall and support wildlife. This is a useful addition to a small Bearsden outing rather than a destination that needs a packed full-day itinerary.

The wetland areas have a practical flood-management role. Stay on suitable paths and do not treat the water as a paddling or skating facility.
Practical information checked 15 September 2026. Confirm anything essential to your visit with the venue.
Allow 30–60 minutes for the visit, plus travel and breaks. This is a suggested planning allowance; opening times, access and availability may affect your plans.
