BEAUMARIS GUIDE Independent ideas for your day out

A booked cruise on the Menai Strait or towards Puffin Island / BEAUMARIS

Boat trips from Beaumaris Pier

Choose a cruise for the route and time on the water that appeal to you, whether strait scenery or the coast around Puffin Island. A boat trip can be the main event of a Beaumaris day, with the town left for food and a short walk before or afterwards. Wildlife is a possibility, never a promised checklist.

Puffins are seasonal and the operator normally sees them only during the breeding period. Cruises return to Beaumaris without landing on the island, and most seating is outdoors.

Access and getting around
The pontoon ramp can be steep at low tide and vessel access varies. The operator does not offer full wheelchair access; contact the team with your requirements and read the current boat-specific statement before booking.

Visiting with children
Choose a duration everyone can manage and bring warm, waterproof clothing even on a bright day. Use shore toilets first and ask about boarding needs for children or prams; do not promise puffin sightings.
