A first Beaumaris castle and town day →
Check castle opening and choose an accessible route for your group. Leave lunch and outdoor conditions room to shape the day.
Views across the strait and streets worth noticing / BEAUMARIS
Start with a view from the pier and seafront, then use a short section of the official town walk to explore the older streets. The route joins water, castle views and local architecture without requiring a paid attraction at every stop. Choose how far you want to go and leave time for food or a quiet browse.

The official circular route is around three kilometres, but a shorter seafront-and-centre section works well. Follow current pier notices and use the marked crossings on busy Castle Street.
Practical information checked 15 September 2026. Confirm anything essential to your visit with the venue.
Allow 45–90 minutes, longer for the full circuit for the visit, plus travel and breaks. This is a suggested planning allowance; opening times, access and availability may affect your plans.
