Priory Country Park
Choose Priory Country Park when you want more space than a short town-centre river stroll. Lakes, meadows and woodland support a visit built around walking and watching wildlife, with play and refreshments as optional additions. Pick a route to suit the day instead of assuming every path has the same surface.
The surfaced lakeside route and narrower wildlife paths make different outings. Use the current map and turn back if mud or steps do not suit; swimming is forbidden throughout the park.

- Public park access is free; check current parking arrangements and any separately operated café or watersport activity. Organised water activities are not included in an ordinary walk.
- Access and getting around
- Some lakeside paths are surfaced, while other routes can be muddy, uneven or stepped. Consult the park map and current access information for toilets, car parks and the route you intend to use.

- Combine a modest walk with the play area rather than promising the whole park. Supervise children around lakes and keep wildlife observation separate from feeding or entering the water.
