Champney Treasure House Museum and Beverley Art Gallery
Explore East Riding history and changing art displays within one cultural building. The museum’s archaeological finds and hands-on elements provide a useful contrast with the gallery’s paintings. The café and gardens let you pace the visit, and the tower gives another perspective on Beverley when available.
Use the museum and gallery hours, not the later closing time of other services in the building. The café also finishes earlier, so plan lunch before the final part of the afternoon.

- Museum and art-gallery general entry is free. Normal venue hours are Monday–Friday 9.30am–4.45pm and Saturday 9am–3.45pm, closed Sundays and bank holidays. Exhibitions, events and other building services can differ; check current arrangements. Café purchases are separate.
- Access and getting around
- There is a flat street-level entrance, automatic doors, lifts, accessible toilets and a Changing Places facility. Blue Badge bays are outside. Ask ahead about sensory-room arrangements or other support rather than expecting a room to be immediately available.

- Ask for current explorer resources and choose a few interactive displays. Historical costumes and the roundhouse activity can help turn a collection visit into something children actively explore; individual workshops have their own dates.
