Sirhowy Valley Country Park

Use a manageable section of the former railway corridor for a walk through the valley landscape near Crosskeys. Look for the relationship between the river, woodland and the routes which once carried the area’s industry. Set your own turning point rather than assuming that every signposted long-distance route is part of a short park visit.

The former railway route is the gentler option; hillside paths are a separate choice. Share the route considerately with cyclists and allow enough time to return to your starting point.
