BLAENAVON GUIDE Independent ideas for your day out

A train ride through the industrial landscape / NEAR BLAENAVON

Blaenavon’s Heritage Railway

Start at Furnace Sidings for a heritage train journey through the landscape around Blaenavon. On an ordinary timetable the return journey takes about 55 minutes, including operational stops, making it a manageable main activity rather than a full day on trains. Services may use steam or heritage diesel; the actual running calendar matters more than an old photograph.
