The streets behind the industrial story / BLAENAVON
Walk a selected town-centre route around Broad Street and the public buildings that served Blaenavon’s industrial community. Shopfronts, chapels and the Workmen’s Hall add the social side of the story after a visit to the furnaces or mine. Look from public streets and give time to the details rather than assuming every historic building is open to enter.

Choose the shorter digital town trail or a small self-guided section. The longer printed town walk is a different commitment and should not be confused with a quick lunchtime loop.
Practical information checked 15 September 2026. Confirm anything essential to your visit with the venue.
Allow 45–90 minutes for a short town route for the visit, plus travel and breaks. This is a suggested planning allowance; opening times, access and availability may affect your plans.
