The village reproduced at one-ninth scale / BOURTON-ON-THE-WATER
Bourton Model Village
See a miniature version of Bourton-on-the-Water behind The Old New Inn, with local stone buildings, tiny gardens and a river layout to compare with the full-sized village. Looking for the model of the Model Village adds a pleasing puzzle to a short visit. The outdoor setting is part of the attraction, so choose footwear and weather accordingly.

Pay by card on arrival; the operator does not offer advance tickets. Visit before or after a real village walk so the miniature buildings have something familiar to connect with.
The practical details
- Where to find it
- The Old New Inn, Bourton-on-the-Water GL54 2AF
Directions and arrival information ↗ - Tickets and booking
- Buy on arrival, card only. Winter closing is earlier, and snow can close the attraction. Wet weather does not normally stop opening, but paths can be uneven and slippery. Special miniature exhibitions have separate arrangements; check before treating them as part of the visit.
- Access and getting around
- Narrow paths and steps exclude pushchairs, walking frames, rollators and strollers. Manual wheelchair users can request free side-gate access for a limited view from the front; this is not access around the whole village. Motorised wheelchairs and scooters cannot enter. Contact the venue to discuss your requirements.
Official access information ↗ - Visiting with children
- Small children must walk or be carried; a stroller parking area is provided by the entrance. Keep hands off the delicate buildings. Toilets and baby-changing facilities are listed. Confirm the child tariff if your child is three, as the operator’s age bands overlap at that age.
Practical information checked 15 September 2026. Confirm anything essential to your visit with the venue.
Make it part of your day
