Bryngarw Country Park

Make Bryngarw the main outing when your group wants outdoor space rather than a string of town attractions. Choose between play time, a gentler garden route and woodland exploring, leaving room for a picnic or café stop. Different areas suit different energy levels, so a satisfying visit does not require covering the whole park.

Free park entry and paid parking are separate. Check when the car park, toilets and visitor centre close, especially as winter hours are shorter.

Tickets and booking: Normal entry is free but parking and some events cost extra. Check current facilities hours and event booking separately. This is a separate journey to Brynmenyn; do not add it as though it were beside the town centre.
Access and getting around: The current access statement identifies a more accessible route past the duck pond and house towards the Nature Garden. Woodland boardwalks and some river/garden paths are not wheelchair accessible. Inclusive play equipment and an accessible toilet are available; check the guide for keys and specific equipment.

Visiting with children: Choose age-appropriate play, allow adult supervision and bring essentials. The wheelchair swing needs a RADAR key, while the visitor-centre accessible toilet does not; verify arrangements before relying on either.
