RSPB Bempton Cliffs
Choose Bempton for the cliff landscape and wildlife watching rather than a guaranteed photograph of a particular bird. The viewpoints let you take time with the colony during the breeding season, while other times of year have a different character. A few well-chosen viewing stops can be more rewarding than trying to complete every path.
Seabird numbers and species vary through the year; puffins are not a year-round promise. Check the RSPB’s current information and conditions, and stay on the marked paths and viewing areas.

- Reserve admission generally applies to non-members; check current concessions and what is included. Ordinary entry does not require advance booking, but guided activities and mobility equipment have separate arrangements.
- Access and getting around
- The RSPB publishes accessible routes and identifies the nearest viewpoints suitable for wheelchairs. Mobility-scooter loan needs advance planning. Select a route with the team rather than assuming the whole cliff-top trail has identical access.

- Keep children close on the cliff-top paths and choose a short viewing route with breaks. Watching for one behaviour can be more engaging than a species checklist. Dress for exposure and be ready to finish early.
