Before you go
Allow for the walk out to Longport and check seasonal opening before leaving the centre. Most of the experience is outside, so a wet forecast is a reason to choose the Roman Museum instead.

- English Heritage says most of the site and museum are wheelchair-accessible, but recommends assistance for manual wheelchair users. The crypt, cloister and Campanile mound have stairs without ramps or lifts. Contact the site about a suitable route; benches provide resting points.
