Railway memories, play and riverside space / NEAR CHEPSTOW
Use the old station as a slower family or picnic outing, with railway buildings, open space and a short walk beside the Wye. In season the carriage displays and tearoom add another reason to linger, while miniature train rides run separately when conditions allow. It is distinct from the abbey and works best with its own time rather than as a rushed afterthought.

Grounds access and staffed facilities have different seasons. Check the current timetable before promising a train ride, and remember that parking, food and rides are separate from free entry.
Practical information checked 15 September 2026. Confirm anything essential to your visit with the venue.
Allow 1½–3 hours for the visit, plus travel and breaks. This is a suggested planning allowance; opening times, access and availability may affect your plans.
