Coventry Transport Museum

Follow Coventry’s engineering story through vehicles and the people behind them. The transport collection gives car and cycle enthusiasts a substantial main attraction, while families can choose a few contrasting vehicles rather than trying to see every label. Build in a rest so the later galleries receive attention too.

Budget for ordinary paid admission and compare advance with on-the-day tickets. Local concession cards have specific conditions; do not rely on older advice that the museum is free for everyone.

Tickets and booking: Ordinary tickets are sold online and at the desk; group and school visits need booking. Check exactly what a pass includes and whether extras have separate charges, restrictions or availability.
Access and getting around: Lifts serve both floors and most areas have wheelchair access; the museum asks visitors to seek help for Model World. Blue Badge parking arrangements differ on weekdays and weekends and require contact. Consult the current access page before travelling.

Visiting with children: Ask about loan activities and select a manageable route. An alternative corridor bypasses the Blitz experience for visitors who prefer it. A picnic area is listed in Gallery 8; scheduled sessions and the simulator need separate checks.
