North Lodge Park
Use North Lodge Park for a short change of pace above the seafront, with lawns, gardens and places to pause. It works best as a picnic or quiet outdoor addition after a town visit. The model-boating pond is part of the park’s character, not a full-sized boating lake for visitors to sail on.
Choose the park for a modest garden stop. Café opening, model-boat activity and any paid extras should be checked separately rather than promised as part of free park access.

- Ordinary public gardens are free to visit. Food and optional activities cost separately. A proposed car park on a former hard-surfaced area is still going through council processes in September 2026; it is not advertised here as an available parking facility.
- Access and getting around
- The clifftop setting and links down towards the seafront involve slopes and steps. Choose a suitable entrance from the town and check current path notices; no complete step-free circuit is claimed. Facilities and any works should be confirmed before relying on them.
