Castle Campbell and a town afternoon →
A confirmed seasonal castle visit with time to return for lunch and optional museum history.
A tower-house visit above Dollar Glen / DOLLAR
Make a confirmed castle opening the centre of a history outing above Dollar. The surviving tower and surrounding remains explain the Campbell family’s Lowland presence, while the setting above the wooded ravines is part of the experience. Allow time for the approach as well as the building: reaching the entrance is not the same as stepping out of a car beside it.

The castle and the glen have different operators and access arrangements. A walk in the glen does not include entry to the castle.
Practical information checked 15 September 2026. Confirm anything essential to your visit with the venue.
Allow 1½–2 hours including the approach for the visit, plus travel and breaks. This is a suggested planning allowance; opening times, access and availability may affect your plans.
