South Street Caves
Descend into the excavated tunnels and chambers below South Street on a guided museum tour. The visit reveals a hidden part of Dorking that is very different from the shops and streets above. It is a small-group, scheduled experience, so arrange a place first rather than treating the entrance as a drop-in attraction.
Tours normally run from March to the end of October, with a monthly Saturday public opening. Under-fives cannot join, and the lower chamber involves more than 40 steps.

- Uneven sandy ground and more than 40 steps make this unsuitable for a step-free visit. Wear secure enclosed footwear and check suitability before booking.
