Dunleath Park

Use Dunleath Park for a local outdoor break, with walking paths and active facilities including the pump track and skate bowl. A new steps-and-ramp connection from St Patrick’s Avenue was completed in September 2026, linking the town more directly with the park. Choose the part that suits your group rather than assuming every sports facility is a casual visitor activity.

The park can provide a practical pause between town visits; bring your own suitable equipment if planning to use the riding facilities. The photograph is an archive view of the playing fields from 2009; it does not show the newer park facilities or town access link.

Tickets and booking: General park access is free. Do not assume equipment hire, lessons or use of booked sports pitches is included in an ordinary visit.
Access and getting around: The new town connection includes a ramp as well as steps. Check the route and surface appropriate to your needs; this does not establish identical access to every sports area.

Visiting with children: Use the walking space or an activity appropriate to children’s skills. Helmets, suitable equipment and adult supervision matter at the pump track and skate bowl.
