Tickets and booking: Ordinary admission is free; check the current seasonal days and hours. Visits inside the nearby Mausoleum have separate arrangements through staff, so do not assume it is open whenever the house is.
Access and getting around: Four entrance steps with handrails lead from a cobbled street. There are two ground-floor rooms and further rooms up narrow stairs. Public toilets are elsewhere in town; contact staff if the route may not suit.
