Visit the public hilltop park behind Ranfurly House for a sense of Dungannon’s setting and its connection with the O’Neill dynasty. The outdoor visit and views can be enjoyed independently; the visitor centre’s guided history experience is a separate paid option.

Tickets and booking: Ordinary public-park access is free. Gates close earlier in October–March. Paid guided tours currently run on selected Wednesday–Saturday times and advance booking is recommended; confirm the date before travelling.
Access and getting around: The operator describes ramped outdoor routes, wheelchair-accessible entrances, lifts and accessible toilets in Ranfurly House. The hill is sloping; ask which entrance and route best suit your needs and check indoor facility hours.

Visiting with children: Keep a short visit focused on views and the shape of the hill. Children need supervision on slopes and around the historic site. A guided history visit may suit interested older children, with separate tickets.
