A working church beside a conserved medieval ruin / DUNKELD

Dunkeld Cathedral and Chapter House

Visit the cathedral’s open grounds and, when available, the eastern section used as the parish church. The Chapter House display adds local and church history within the same visit. The western roofless ruin remains closed for conservation, so admire its setting without expecting access throughout the nave or tower. Worship, weddings and concerts can also change access to the working church.

Tickets and booking: Ordinary visits are separate from scheduled services and events. Check current church and Chapter House hours; the western ruin is closed, while public grounds and the working church have separate arrangements.
Access and getting around: Ground surfaces and interior routes differ, and wet paths can be slippery. Ask the church about a suitable entrance and any essential mobility requirements; conservation closures restrict parts of the complex.
