Priory Gardens and Dunstable Priory

Use Priory Gardens for a short introduction to Dunstable’s historic core, looking at the surviving church and the setting of the former priory. The garden visit stands on its own when the church is closed. If a visiting session is available, step inside for a closer look at the building’s history.

Before you go

Church sightseeing hours are limited and separate from services. Priory House’s exhibition space, tea rooms and Jacobean Room are currently closed during restoration, so do not plan this as a museum visit.

Tickets and booking: The public garden is free. Confirm church visiting sessions with the parish; special tours and events have their own arrangements. Priory House restoration currently prevents normal exhibition access.
Access and getting around: Choose a garden entrance and route that suit your mobility, checking surfaces and current works. For the church interior, contact the parish about the available entrance and any access needs rather than assuming the whole site is step-free.
