Priory Gardens, lunch and a short Downs walk →
A modest town-and-landscape day, with the church interior optional and the hill walk dependent on conditions.
The historic centre with an optional church visit / DUNSTABLE
Use Priory Gardens for a short introduction to Dunstable’s historic core, looking at the surviving church and the setting of the former priory. The garden visit stands on its own when the church is closed. If a visiting session is available, step inside for a closer look at the building’s history.

Church sightseeing hours are limited and separate from services. Priory House’s exhibition space, tea rooms and Jacobean Room are currently closed during restoration, so do not plan this as a museum visit.
Practical information checked 15 September 2026. Confirm anything essential to your visit with the venue.
Allow 30–75 minutes for the visit, plus travel and breaks. This is a suggested planning allowance; opening times, access and availability may affect your plans.
