Whitelee and a short village pause →
Make the visitor centre and a chosen outdoor route the main visit, with the village optional afterwards.
Renewable energy and an open moorland landscape / EAGLESHAM
Begin in the visitor centre to make sense of the turbines outside, then choose an outdoor route appropriate to your group. The contrast between the exhibits and the scale of the windfarm is the point of the visit. You do not need to tackle a long trail to appreciate it, and a short out-and-back walk can leave more time for questions and a break.

The visitor centre is around 2.5 miles along Moor Road from Eaglesham. Arrange the transfer; it is not a short village-pavement detour. Paid bus tours are separate from the free centre and walks.
Practical information checked 15 September 2026. Confirm anything essential to your visit with the venue.
Allow 1.5–3 hours for the visit, plus travel and breaks. This is a suggested planning allowance; opening times, access and availability may affect your plans.
