Beech woodland and a more demanding walk / NEAR EBBW VALE
Explore a woodland valley south of Ebbw Vale where the paths offer a slower encounter with trees, birds and changing seasonal colour. Choose a trail suited to your group and give the uneven ground your attention. This is a proper outdoor walk rather than a surfaced town-park circuit.

Expect mud and slippery sections after rain. The trust describes steep, narrow paths and steps, so shorten the route early if footing or energy becomes a concern.
Practical information checked 15 September 2026. Confirm anything essential to your visit with the venue.
Allow 1½–2½ hours depending on route for the visit, plus travel and breaks. This is a suggested planning allowance; opening times, access and availability may affect your plans.
