Market Place gives you a lively food or browsing stop between Ely’s historic buildings. The mix depends on the day: Thursday’s charter market, Saturday’s craft, food and vintage stalls, and the Sunday market are the main weekly occasions. Arrive with time to look around before choosing lunch, rather than relying on a particular trader being there.
Match the visit to the market calendar. Friday has a smaller market, while Monday–Wednesday coffee stalls are not the full browsing experience.

- Browsing is free; food and purchases cost extra. Check the current calendar and advertised finishing time before travelling for a particular market. Farmers’ market stalls are scheduled on selected Saturdays rather than every market day, and summer evening food events should not be assumed year-round.
