Engineering and the Kelpies →
A booked boat trip followed by one relaxed outdoor visit, with travel and food between them.
Horse sculptures, park paths and canal-side space / FALKIRK
See the Kelpies from the surrounding paths, then give the wider park time rather than treating the visit as a quick photograph from the car park. The sculptures connect the canal setting with the history of working horses. A modest walk, a play break or a picnic can make a satisfying outing; an optional guided tour adds a look inside one sculpture.

Seeing the sculptures outside and taking an inside tour are different choices. The paid tour is not required for an outdoor visit.
Practical information checked 15 September 2026. Confirm anything essential to your visit with the venue.
Allow 1–2 hours, longer for park time for the visit, plus travel and breaks. This is a suggested planning allowance; opening times, access and availability may affect your plans.
