Basingwerk Abbey
Explore the remains of a Cistercian community at Greenfield, where the outline of rooms helps make sense of a very different way of life. It is a compact outdoor visit: look for the former dining hall and consider how the buildings once fitted together. Pair it with a valley break rather than expecting hours of indoor exhibits.

Basingwerk Abbey is managed by Cadw and is separate from Greenfield Valley’s paid museum and play areas. You do not need a museum ticket simply to see the abbey.
