Nevis Range Mountain Gondola

Ride enclosed gondola cabins to the upper station on Aonach Mòr, with a café stop and optional walks when conditions suit. This is a mountain outing above Torlundy, not a cable car up Ben Nevis. Clear weather can reveal an extensive Highland landscape, while cloud may hide much of the view.

Before you go

Check the dated mountain report before leaving Fort William and confirm the last descent on arrival. The gondola can stop for wind or other operating reasons; keep a town-based alternative ready.

Tickets and booking: Tickets are sold online and on site, subject to operation. Confirm current concessions, carer arrangements and parking separately. The base is about seven miles from Fort William; check the operator’s transport advice and your bus or taxi return. A sightseeing ticket does not include bike uplift or a Ben Nevis summit trip.
Access and getting around: The current access page specifies a wheelchair boarding ramp for chairs up to 60cm wide. Discuss your chair, boarding assistance and facilities directly before booking. Accessible toilets and changing facilities are listed, but the mountain viewpoint paths do not share the same access as the gondola stations.

Visiting with children: Bring warm waterproof layers even if the town feels mild. A short visit near the upper station may suit better than a viewpoint walk. Keep children close on outdoor paths, and do not turn the ride into an unplanned mountain ascent.
