Tickets and booking: No ticket is needed for the currently open public grounds. The castle interior remains closed; follow all barriers and current notices. Allow a separate journey from central Fort William rather than treating the ruins as part of Cameron Square.
Access and getting around: Some grounds are open, with protective fencing around the closed castle. Stay within permitted areas and expect outdoor surfaces to vary; contact HES for current mobility access. Parking is listed, but do not rely on an on-site toilet or a step-free route around the whole site.
