Guildford House Gallery

Visit the changing exhibitions inside a seventeenth-century townhouse and allow time to notice the building as well as the works. It is a useful cultural stop within the High Street rather than a large collection requiring a full day. Choose a show that interests you and combine it with lunch or a town walk.

Tickets and booking: Free entry, normally Tuesday–Saturday 10am–4.30pm, last gallery entry 4pm. Individual rooms may close during changeovers; Sunday and Monday are not normal opening days.
Access and getting around: Review the council’s Guildford House access guide and ask about entrance steps, floor access and the room containing your chosen display. Do not assume all historic rooms are step-free.

Visiting with children: Choose a few works to discuss together and check any advertised family activities. A regular exhibition visit does not automatically include a workshop.
