Art & exhibitions / HARROGATE
Mercer Art Gallery
Explore changing art exhibitions in Harrogate’s former Promenade Rooms. The scale suits a considered hour with a few works rather than a whole-day museum expedition, and the Royal Pump Room is close enough to combine without a long transfer. The exhibition programme determines what is on display.

The gallery is closed from 7 September to 2 October 2026 for an exhibition changeover. Check the reopening and next exhibition before making this the centre of your day.

Make it part of your day
Allow 45–75 minutes for the visit, plus travel and breaks. This is a suggested planning allowance; opening times, access and availability may affect your plans.
