Henley town trail

Use the town’s downloadable trail to notice buildings you might otherwise walk past. Market Place, Hart Street and the lanes towards the Thames make an introduction to Henley beyond its regatta reputation. Choose a short section or spend longer following the leaflet; the point is to look around, not to complete every numbered stop.

Before you go

The official leaflet is useful for the street route but contains an outdated recommendation to visit the River & Rowing Museum. The museum is closed to the public and is not a stop on our plan.

Tickets and booking: The self-guided leaflet and street walk are free. Guided tours, purchases and entry to any separate attraction are additional choices. Buildings seen from the street are not necessarily open to visitors.
Access and getting around: This is a public-street route with crossings, traffic and some sloping sections. The full leaflet is not a verified step-free circuit. Stay around Market Place and Hart Street if the uphill extension does not suit your group.

Visiting with children: Pick a few doors, signs or rooflines to spot rather than reading every historical panel. Pause to cross roads together and finish at the river before attention runs out.
