Seabirds, heathland and lighthouse views / NEAR HOLYHEAD
Make the clifftop reserve the main visit: look across the sea from the established viewpoints and give time to watching the birds rather than chasing a single photograph. The lighthouse below is a separate, paid attraction reached by a demanding descent. You can enjoy the coastal setting without going down to the island.

Breeding seabirds are seasonal, especially in spring and early summer; sightings are never guaranteed. Check wind and current conditions before committing to an exposed cliff walk.
Practical information checked 15 September 2026. Confirm anything essential to your visit with the venue.
Allow 1–2 hours; longer with a lighthouse visit for the visit, plus travel and breaks. This is a suggested planning allowance; opening times, access and availability may affect your plans.
