Inverness Castle Experience
The castle now welcomes visitors to a modern experience about Highland people, landscapes and culture. Interactive installations and storytelling give it a different purpose from a traditional furnished castle or a collection of historic rooms. Choose it as a substantial city-centre introduction, with time afterwards to look across the River Ness.
The rooftop platform lift is currently under maintenance: seven steps lead to the viewing terrace. Confirm repair status before booking if the terrace is central to your visit.

- Pre-book a timed slot and read the current amendment and cancellation terms. Walk-up entry depends on availability. Book any companion entitlement and accessible parking with the documents required by the operator.
- Access and getting around
- Use the View Place entrance; Castle Wynd is unsuitable for wheelchair users. Lifts serve the main towers, but the rooftop platform lift is currently unavailable and the Flag Tower is not wheelchair accessible. Blue Badge parking must be pre-booked.

- Prams are permitted. Flashing lights feature in the South Tower experience; ask staff about avoiding them and sensory packs. Keep time for a quiet pause between the presentations.
