Ness Islands

Wooded islands and footbridges create a close-up encounter with the River Ness south of the centre. Choose a short loop to see trees, moving water and carved seating, or use the islands as the focus of a longer riverside outing. The river’s presence is the attraction; there is no need to turn the stroll into an endurance walk.

Before you go

Check council access notices and signs at the bridges before crossing, especially after heavy rain or strong winds. Turn back along the same bank if access is restricted instead of relying on a through-route.
