LANCASTER GUIDE Independent ideas for your day out

Hilltop parkland, views & play / LANCASTER

Williamson Park and Ashton Memorial

Spend time among woodland paths and play areas below the domed Ashton Memorial. The hilltop setting gives broad views towards Morecambe Bay when conditions are clear. The park makes a substantial outdoor outing away from the compact heritage streets, with a short memorial visit when the building is available.

Before you go

The council currently reports the café and shop closed after storm damage. Bring a picnic or confirm outdoor food concessions and toilet arrangements before relying on the park for lunch.

Access and getting around
