LARGS GUIDE Independent ideas for your day out

Glen walks, gardens and a colourful castle setting / NEAR LARGS

Kelburn Estate

Make a separate outing to Kelburn for its grounds, gardens and wooded glen. The castle exterior provides a distinctive backdrop, while the terrain offers routes of different lengths. Families can choose separately paid play activities instead of, or alongside, walking, but the estate is best enjoyed at a pace that leaves time for the setting.

Before you go

The castle is a private home, with interiors available only through particular advertised tours or occasions. Grounds access is not a castle ticket. Parking and the Secret Forest or Playbarn have separate charges.
