Ask whether a visit to the nearby Skelmorlie Aisle can be arranged: its historic painted interior offers a different kind of detail, but entry should be confirmed rather than assumed.

Routine museum hours currently run Thursday to Sunday, 13:30–16:30. The museum and aisle are different spaces; an open museum is not an automatic promise of an aisle tour.

- Ordinary museum admission is free, with donations supporting the charity. Contact the museum before travelling to arrange any aisle or group tour and confirm separate conditions. Volunteer staffing and special events can alter access.
- Access and getting around
- The museum has a wheelchair ramp that the operator says is not suitable for motorised chairs. Discuss equipment and assistance in advance. Ask separately about the aisle and graveyard route, which have their own historic access constraints.

- Keep the museum visit focused on a few stories or objects that interest the children. A guided heritage visit requires listening and respectful behaviour; it is not a soft-play or hands-on session available on demand.
