Confirm a public Vikingar! tour, then add a comfortable seaside walk and food.
Story-led Viking history / LARGS
Join a guided heritage experience that connects Viking life with the events around Largs. A replica longhouse, storytelling and a film give the visit a structure rather than leaving you to read a room of panels. Choose an actual available tour and allow time for questions, especially if children are discovering this history for the first time.

The heritage experience has its own seasonal tour timetable. The building also contains leisure facilities, but an open swimming pool or gym does not mean the Viking attraction is running.
Practical information checked 16 September 2026. Confirm anything essential to your visit with the venue.
Allow 1–1.5 hours for the visit, plus travel and breaks. This is a suggested planning allowance; opening times, access and availability may affect your plans.
