A family market-and-park visit →
A small town outing with food before play, avoiding a long list of commitments.
Play and a green break close to town / LEEK
Use Brough Park to give a town visit some breathing space. A short walk among the landscaped areas, time in the play area or a picnic can make a useful contrast to market browsing. You do not need a long route or a paid activity to enjoy the change of pace; choose the part that suits your group and the weather.

The park has a steep slope south of the bandstand despite many gentler paths. Choose your route before committing to a longer circuit and follow any local notices around ongoing improvements.
Practical information checked 15 September 2026. Confirm anything essential to your visit with the venue.
Allow 1–2 hours for the visit, plus travel and breaks. This is a suggested planning allowance; opening times, access and availability may affect your plans.
