Woodland walks and outdoor play / NEAR LINLITHGOW
Head into the Bathgate Hills for woodland paths, a play area and a different landscape from the town’s loch and royal buildings. Choose a walking route from the country-park map and use the visitor centre as a practical starting point when it is open.

Beecraigs is uphill from Linlithgow. Treat it as a separate outing or planned transfer, and do not mistake the livestock in leased fields for a staffed animal attraction.
Practical information checked 16 September 2026. Confirm anything essential to your visit with the venue.
Allow 2–4 hours for the visit, plus travel and breaks. This is a suggested planning allowance; opening times, access and availability may affect your plans.
