Step into the Anglican cathedral’s vast interior for architecture, stained glass and a pause from the shopping streets. The ordinary building visit is free and can stand on its own. Treat the paid tower as a separate decision, with different physical demands, rather than something every visitor should add.

Check the day’s closure and service notices. This is a working church, so sightseeing can be restricted; tower tickets do not remove those limitations.

Tickets and booking: Ordinary cathedral visits do not require advance booking. The tower and some events are paid; check current availability and the service calendar.
Access and getting around: The cathedral describes an accessible lift from its car park and a mostly single-level main space, with lifts or portable ramps for some other areas. The tower involves stairs and is not an equivalent accessible route. Contact Visitor Services for essential assistance.

Visiting with children: A shorter visit looking for colours, windows and the scale of the building can work for children. Baby changing is listed on the ground floor. Respect services and decide separately whether the tower climb suits your family.
