Sefton Park

Trade the central streets for a large south Liverpool park with lakes, trees and room for a longer walk. Make a modest loop your aim rather than covering the whole park. The Palm House is a landmark within it, but entry to that building depends on its own opening and event arrangements.

Choose your entrance and return journey before arriving: this is a substantial park, not a small garden beside the city-centre museums. Do not rely on the Palm House as guaranteed shelter.
