Eliburn Park
Follow the paths around Eliburn Reservoir, pause by the woodland and give children time in the play area. This is a useful local outdoor outing with a compact walking option, rather than a major hike or an attraction that needs a ticket.
Before you go
Plan a toilet stop before arriving: the council lists the nearest public facilities at Carmondean Shopping Centre, around 1.5km away. Do not rely on the sports pavilion being open for general visitors.

- Ordinary walking and play are free, with council-listed free parking. Fishing requires its own permit and sports facilities have separate arrangements. Current signs and conditions take precedence over a printed map.
- Access and getting around
- Surfaced paths provide relatively straightforward routes around the reservoir and play area. Some sections have timber steps, while unsurfaced paths may be narrow or slippery. Accessible play features do not imply every woodland route is step-free.
