Almond Valley with an optional park pause →
Give the combined heritage and family attraction most of the day, adding a separate park stop only if useful.
Reservoir paths and inclusive play / LIVINGSTON
Follow the paths around Eliburn Reservoir, pause by the woodland and give children time in the play area. This is a useful local outdoor outing with a compact walking option, rather than a major hike or an attraction that needs a ticket.

Plan a toilet stop before arriving: the council lists the nearest public facilities at Carmondean Shopping Centre, around 1.5km away. Do not rely on the sports pavilion being open for general visitors.
Practical information checked 16 September 2026. Confirm anything essential to your visit with the venue.
Allow 1–2 hours for the visit, plus travel and breaks. This is a suggested planning allowance; opening times, access and availability may affect your plans.
